When I was younger I loved staying in hostels because it was a chance to meet other travelers from all over the world. But, as you probably are too, I’m past the point in my life where I want to stay in a hostel and prefer to stay in a hotel and apartment with crisp white sheets and privacy. The down side of staying in a hotel though is that you miss out on the camaraderie, many hotel guests like to keep to themselves and maintain their privacy, meaning it’s harder to make friends. Tom and I have experienced it, but we still manage to meet some amazing people from all over the world when we’re away, so watch this video for tips on how to make travel friends when you’re not a backpacker.
