If you’re visiting London around New Years, you’re in for a treat. The festive season is a bit like a dreamland of Christmas lights and fun activities in the lead-up to the 31st of December. As usual, on New Year’s Eve, there’s a world-famous fireworks display in Central London that brings over 100,000 people to see it in person (btw you can book tickets for that now here, but get in quick before they all sell out).

New Year’s Eve Dinner Cruise on the Thames
Step aboard a City Cruise this New Year’s Eve for an evening of good food, live music and incredible views of London at midnight. Included in the ticket cost, you’ll get a four-course dinner featuring curried lentils, battered tiger prawns and a marinated rump of lamb, plus wine and champagne on arrival. The classic Ritz hotel is hosting a black tie gala with a six course dinner (including champagne), where you’ll be entertained with performances from a live band, the traditional sounds of bagpipes from The Lone Piper and 14-piece military marching band. When midnight comes there will be a countdown to the new year, and then the night continues with live music from the band The Soul Jets. This is an event of a lifetime but it does come with a hefty price tag of £1,500 per person.
