Raise your steins at Oktoberfest
Every year, Oktoberfest (WA) remains one of the best things to do in London in October and is the biggest celebration of its kind in the UK, seeing more than 50,000 guests come together annually. Across the 1-3rd October, you can expect a live Bavarian band, authentic German food and beer and Oktoberfest decorations; you’ll feel like you’re in a traditional Oktoberfest tent in the middle of Germany instead of Finsbury Park. Don your best lederhosen and strap in for the best beer-fuelled German celebrations in the city.

Stroll through London parks to see new Autumn leaves

The Black British Book Festival (WA) celebrates Black British authors of all genres whilst also providing a national platform for emerging writers. This festival spotlights the UK’s top Black authors, partnering with major publishers like Penguin and SAGE. The festival ultimately aims to emphasise emerging talent and inclusivity in the UK’s literary scene, and for one day, 6,000 people, 80+ authors and creatives come together for an unforgettable celebration of Black literature and culture.

Get spooky in the city for Halloween
Whilst Halloween isn’t as big of a celebration in London as it is in the US, there are still many events taking place across the city. Plus, many Londoners love an excuse to get dressed up.
