Customer Service and Admin Assistant (Freelance)

Dante Media is looking for a freelance Customer Service and Admin Assistant to help us for 20-25 hours per week, starting ASAP.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Customer service tasks for our digital product shop, including answering questions, troubleshooting problems, handling complaints and requests for refunds, etc.
  • Email organisation and filing, filtering replies to customers, suppliers, brand partners and more.
  • Community management on our social channels – replying to comments, answering DMs, etc.
  • Formatting and publishing new articles on our site via WordPress
  • Basic graphic design work in Canva
  • Various admin tasks assigned by the founder and other team members

Required skills:

  • Good knowledge of Google Drive products, especially Google Sheets
  • Top-notch organisational skills and extremely strong attention to detail
  • Professional email etiquette and near-native English level for both speaking and writing
  • Excellent ability to understand customer questions and complaints, and be able to answer them in a helpful and detailed manner.
  • An excellent working knowledge of London transport, attractions, areas around the city, and more, so you can answer questions from our followers.
  • The ability to problem-solve, complete tasks without much guidance, and follow directions to a T
  • A pro-active working style and the ability to work and communicate effectively while working fully remotely

It’s a plus (but not a dealbreaker!) if you have:

  • Some familiarity with using WordPress, Canva, Notion, Asana and Shopify
  • Some knowledge of Paris, as we’re currently launching our Paris-based brand

You must:

  • Be London-based (any applications from anyone outside of London will not be reviewed)
  • Have your own laptop/computer and reliable internet
  • Be available around 8:30am and 4pm on weekdays for email checks and customer service tasks.
  • Be eligible to work in the UK
  • Be registered with HMRC as self-employed (or be willing to do so) if offered the contract.

This role is fully remote, so while you need to be primarily London-based, you’re welcome to work from wherever you like. Besides daily customer service times, we’re flexible on when you get your other work done as long as deadlines are met.

This would be a great role for a student or someone who needs flexible timings.

We’re looking for someone to start ASAP with around 20 hours/week, but this will likely increase as the year goes on.

Rate: £15-17/hour DOE

Our main revenue driver is our digital travel guides, sold in our Love and London Shopify shop. We’ve just launched Love and Paris and plan to expand to even more cities from 2025, so there’s lots of room to grow in this role.
